Darren Thurston Joinery is based in Norfolk and specialise in handcrafted joinery and cabinet making. Using both modern and traditional techniques, high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail in order to design and make quality bespoke pieces.

I am available to work with you on a one to one basis. The majority of my work is made in a modern, well-equipped workshop. Wether you are looking for a one off custom made entrance door or a new bookcase with unique storage solutions tailor-made to fit perfectly into even the most awkward spaces.

Materials

​

 Working with English and European hardwoods, veneers and man-made materials like moisture resistant MDF or birch plywood. With a wide range of material, I can discuss the best solution for your needs and budget. All material is sustainably sourced.

Finishes

​

Pieces can be finished to however the client chooses; from a natural look of hard wax oils to high quality paint system.

Design & Consultation  

I will listen to your requirements and aspirations then establish the initial brief including budget, materials, size and design style. The cost of a project is largely depends on its complexity and choice of materials. I can tailor this to fit your exact needs and budget.
The design process will be one or two designs either completed in CAD or traditionally sketched as well as some proposed materials and finishes. Swatches of paints, finishes, and materials can also be shown to help the client decide. A final design with material choices and finishes will then be produced along with the final cost.
